was created to provide Montessori education for more families in Baltimore city. Montessori education is based upon the deep respect for each child and his/her unique gifts. It is our job as parents, educators and community members to provide an environment that supports each child's developmental needs, abilities and interests. We began by opening a low-cost parent-toddler program to give families an opportunity to learn about Montessori education. Since there was so much interest in the full continuum of Montessori education through the elementary years, our board decided to apply to open a Montessori Public Charter School. Our school has been approved and opened August 25, 2008 for children ages three through nine.
